ABOUT THIS GAME

Hunting Season is a fast-paced rogue-lite FPS. This game is a combination of first person arena shooters and rogue-likes with items, synergies and many more.

People have been fighting in a war against monsters from the underground for decades. It seems that all hope has been lost a long time ago. But you are not giving up just yet. Will you be able to end people's suffering?

For now, this is just a demo. It features 2 regions, that have 3 levels each, with the final levels being boss levels. These levels are procedurally generated. Everything is subject to change and, of course, bugs are also present. Feel free to leave feedback on the project!

There are 6 weapons available in the demo!

• Revolver. This weapon will help you deal good amount of damage in a short time. Revolver has a unique reload, which makes it explode. You can use it to deal damage to several enemies at once.

• Double-barreled shotgun. Very powerful in close-range combat. Though it's more dangerous because of the small range,  you can use this shotgun's knockback to push yourself around and fly above enemies.

• Winchester. A rifle that can shoot 8 bullets and reload in small amount of time. It has the biggest magazine and high damage, which means it has the biggest damage per magazine.

• Mechanic's Crossbow. As the name suggests, this is a crossbow of an old mechanic who has sadly passed away. But his hopes and dreams of better world without war were put into this weapon. This is a single shot weapon which deals a lot of damage on hit. 

• Old Minigun. It may not be in the best condition but it can kill monsters efficiently so who cares. This weapon has a big magazine (50 bullets) and a very fast firing speed. You can two-hand this bad boy to eliminate all of the enemies in your way. Or to cosplay jetpack joyride...

• Grenade Launcher. I mean, there isn't much to say about this one. Big gun shoot big grenade, it explode, everyone die. For real though, this weapon has two grenades ready to fire before reloading and can do good damage to crowds of enemies.

Items give you different passive effects. (You can't use them, their effects apply to you when you get them)

On your journey through the depths of the underground you will find a lot of items that will help you progress further and become stronger. From gaining hp to literally making your weapons shoot electricity. You will find everything you need. Every item is not final and everything is subject to change.

You can get the same items in any amount you want because they can stack. Collect similar items to stack their effects and become unbeatable. 

Of course you will find much more on your journey. Dangerous enemies, powerful combinations and synergies. But you will have to do that yourself! The demo is completely free and anyone can play it. I hope you enjoy it!

Space - Jump (You can hold it for bunny hopping)

Ctrl - Crouch

E - Interact

LMB - Fire 1

RMB - Fire 2

1 - Weapon 1

2 - Weapon 2

R - Reload

T - Ability

Enter - Return

TAB - Inventory / Open Minimap

Esc - Pause menu

F - Use minimap teleports.

All of these can be changed in the main menu of the game.
